    Legal Policies

Terms of Service, Privacy, Cookie and Analytics, and Accessibility policies for Latif Law, LLC.

    Terms of Service

    Effective Date: May 20, 2025

    1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using this website (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and other posted guidelines. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

    2. No Attorney–Client Relationship

Use of this Site does not by itself create an attorney–client relationship. Submitting forms or messages does not alone establish representation. Note that communications with an attorney regarding potential representation are generally protected. However, a formal attorney-client relationship arises only after (a) we agree to represent you, (b) an engagement letter is signed, and (c) the required retainer or consultation fee is paid.

    3. Consultations & Fees

Initial consultations are 30 minutes; the fee is displayed during booking through Clio. They are informational in nature. No ongoing legal representation is established unless and until an engagement letter is executed and fees are received.

    4. Payment & Data Processing

Client data and payments submitted via the Site are processed through Clio, subject to Clio's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and applicable payment processor terms. Consult fees are deposited into the firm's operating account; retainer funds are held in the IOLTA/trust account and applied to future legal work.

    5. Acceptable Use

Users agree to refrain from unlawful activities, spamming, harassment, or uploading malware. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations.

    6. Cookies & Analytics

Optional analytics remains disabled unless you consent. You may accept, reject, or later change analytics preferences through the control in the website footer. See our Cookie & Analytics Notice below.

    7. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party services (e.g., Clio Payments), but we are not responsible for their content or practices.

    8. Intellectual Property

All Site materials—text, graphics, logos, code—are owned by Latif Law, LLC unless otherwise indicated. Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.

    9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Site is provided "as is" without warranty. We disclaim all indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from its use.

    10. Severability

If any provision is found invalid under applicable law, it will be deemed severed without affecting the remainder.

    11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Updated Terms apply upon posting; continued use constitutes acceptance.

    12. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ohio. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts of Franklin County, Ohio, unless agreed otherwise.

    7. Data Breach Notification (Ohio Compliance)

If an unauthorized access ("breach") of your "personal information" occurs (combining name plus SSN, driver's license, or financial account data), we will notify you—without unreasonable delay, and no later than 45 days after discovery—as required under Ohio Revised Code § 1349.19 (Ohio Data Protection Act).

    8. Data Security & Retention

Our services are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

    11. International Transfers

Your data may be processed or stored in the U.S. or Canada via our service providers like Clio, which maintain industry-standard safeguards.

    12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after updates indicates your acceptance.

    Cookie & Analytics Notice

    Last updated: September 15, 2026

    1. Essential Preference Storage

We store your analytics choice in your browser under latif.analytics-consent.v1. This preference is used only to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics. It stays on your device until you change the preference, clear your browser storage, or use a private browsing session.

    2. Optional Google Analytics

If you accept, this site loads Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits and interactions with phone, email, and Clio links. We configure analytics not to send URL query strings, link text, intake URLs, or information entered into Clio. Advertising storage and advertising-personalization signals remain disabled.

Google Analytics may process device and browser information, approximate location, and activity on this site. Google states that its default implementation uses the first-party _ga cookie to distinguish visitors and a _ga_<container-id> cookie to maintain session state. Their default expiration is two years, subject to browser restrictions.

    3. Your Choice

Analytics is off by default. Rejecting it does not limit site access. Use “Cookie Preferences” in the footer at any time to enable or disable analytics. When disabled, the site prevents further analytics events and attempts to remove Latif Law analytics cookies from this domain.

    4. Third-Party Information

For more information, review Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics cookie information.

    5. Contact

Questions about these practices may be sent to info@latif.legal.
